💛 Our Cause: Homelessness
Backpacks
Thanks to your support, our volunteers delivered essential backpacks filled with supplies to those sleeping rough across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Our backpacks are packed with quality items and a personalised handwritten message of encouragement.
We collaborated with the following charities to distribute your One Light Backpacks to their clients in need, carefully packed with love and care:
- Agape Outreach
- Streetcare Brisbane
- Set Free Care
We are impressed and grateful for the positive way that Theresa Mitchell and her team from Agape are supporting the vulnerable people of Tweed with hot meals, clothing, laundry, showers, job placement and mental health support.

📚 Our Cause: Education & Awareness
From Australian railway history, ocean safety, and schools in remote areas, we believe that education shapes a brighter future.
We proudly granted funds to local education and awareness programs:
- Collie Railway Station Group Inc
- Volunteer Marine Rescue
Global Hand received a grant to support their Vietnam Orphan Education program for children 6 to under 15 in remote communities.
Additionally, we donated handcrafted vases and wall art to Mission Educate, which raised crucial funds during a heartwarming Dad and Daughter Date Night, supporting a school in Mozambique. Education truly knows no borders.
🛡️ Our Cause: Domestic Violence Support
Last delivery and donation of Christmas gift boxes to Salvos for 2024. We are proud to help the Salvos spread their light of generosity around the world
With your help, we stood beside survivors by donating gift boxes and funding the vital work of:
- Sheltered by Grace
- The Salvation Army
Their efforts provide safety, support, and a pathway to healing for women and families escaping violence.
🐾 Our Cause: Animal Welfare
We proudly supported Zambi Wildlife Retreat in Sydney with a grant – their mission is to care for retired, rescued, and orphaned wildlife, including some of the Big Five. Your contribution helps ensure these animals are loved and protected.
🩺 Our Cause: Medical & Mental Support
Violet’s ear to hear update: Violet had a successful ear surgery in the U.S. in June 2024 and has since returned to Australia after a prescribed four-week postoperative stay for clinical reviews. Thanks again to everyone who donated.
The journey to recovery is hard—but no one should walk it alone. Your donations helped fund mental health and medical support services through grants to:

🎁 Donation Drives: Gifts, Hampers & Books
The spirit of giving was alive and well thanks to YOU. This year, we distributed Christmas hampers and gifts to families in need through:

Today, we made a very special delivery to the founder of Spirited Women Australia Inc. Dr. Cheryl Spicer. She is also a proud Bartercard member for decades.
We donated gift hampers to families and individuals so they can celebrate Christmas
At Newlife Care, new parents received beautiful, handcrafted gift packs filled with essentials and packed with love.
With the support of Aunty Bea’s Designs and our generous Bartercard and Qoin donors, we were able to recently donate newborn gift packs, to Gold Coast and the wider Coolangatta, Brisbane & Moreton community.
We also donated a library of books, and gifts, to The Well Incorporated café, where they’ll be sold to raise funds for supporting the vulnerable in our community.
We received books and gifts from Coffee at Newlife and donated it to registered charity – The Wells Sails Inc. – who will use it in their community cafe
