"The relationships that we are forming with small and medium sized enterprises and sporting teams are on top of the benefit of having an extra revenue stream to help stretch our dollars further.
The result is the potential of conserving our cash so that when a family come knocking because they can’t feed their children or because a person with a disability needs extra support, Anglicare can continue to offer “Strength for Today and Hope for Tomorrow”. -- Trevor Capps, Anglicare NSW South, NSW West and ACT
"Zoe G, age 1 year, 5 months, was born with a bilateral profound hearing loss caused by Connexin 26 gene abnormality. Zoe’s hearing loss was identified at birth via newborn hearing screening and she was fitted with hearing aids at 6 weeks of age. Zoe is a delightful little girl who has had her cochlear implants switched on for eight months and her speech and language skills are developing beautifully. Zoe recently had her speech and language assessment following 6 months of cochlear implant use. Already her scores lie well within the average range when compared to her normal hearing peers. Her expressive language (what she is saying) is above the age expected range. She has made over 12 month’s progress in just 6 month’s time. Well done Zoe! Zoe is co-sponsored by Bartercard and One Light Brisbane West." -- Karen Descovich, Hear and Say – Centre For Deaf Children
"Snowy Hydro SouthCare was assisted in a number of fundraising endeavors over the years. They are always on hand to provide information and advice to our organisation when we are looking to generate support for Snowy Hydro SouthCare. We have used donated products at many of our events such as Gala Balls, Golf Days and Corporate Functions for fantastic raffle auction items and winning prizes. One light has been a great partner of ours and we look forward to continuing our working partnership. " -- Sarah Gilbert , Snowyhydro SouthCare Helicopter Fund
" We have been able to use our donations to assist our community welfare activities in the Coffs Harbour region. This has included the supply and installation of air conditioning to our premises, carpeting our interview offices and most importantly to help purchase toys for our annual Christmas Appeal." -- Dianne Walters, Salvo's Welfare Centre - Coffs Harbour
"We have been consistently able to use our Trade Dollars to preserve cash resources within our organisation, needed to support the services to our clients to overcome the barriers of vision impairment. The most recent example of this has been the installation of solar panels on our Bald Hills premises on full trade which will significantly help to reduce our running costs." -- Chris Laine , Guide Dogs Queensland
"We have benefitted from a consistent income of trade dollars which allow us to use our cash where it is needed most – providing services to children and adults in Queensland with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. As well as using trade dollars in all areas of day to day management , we are able to use trade for accommodation and car hire during outreach trips to provide services to children all over Queensland. Our trade dollars have also been crucial to our cash fundraising allowing us to purchase prizes that are auctioned to a cash audience." -- Kylie Harrison, Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Queensland
