The Applicant must have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Taxation Office.
The Applicant must be an Australian Registered Charity and be listed on the register maintained by the Australian Charities and Not- For-Profits Commission.
The Applicant’s core business is providing programs in areas such as: - Medical Research - Community Service - Education - Environment - Health - Animal Welfare - Social Welfare - Culture and the arts - Disabled and disadvantaged - Recreation and sport - Religion - Science
The Applicant must be an existing member of Bartercard Australia or be willing to become a member. This is because grants will generally be made in Bartercard trade dollars and will need to be credited to the applicant’s Bartercard member account. There will be no joining fee.
Applications should be prepared in consultation with a local Bartercard franchise representative so that an appropriate spending plan can be put in place to utilize the trade dollar grant in an effective and timely manner.
Grants will be considered for specific projects and / or core costs and general operating expenses.
